The Ceramic HAPs (Hard Armour Panel) are the must have personal protection when entering, working or living in high threat situations. These plates are placed into pockets supplied in tactical covert and overt vests located one to the front and one on the back of the outer carrier. They are additional addons and will achieve the NIJ level III rated protection when used in conjunction with NIJ Level IIIA SAPs (Soft Armour Panels) suplied with tactical carriers. Protection: 7.62 x 51mm Ball (NATO) - Multi shot VestGuard offers 4 types of ballistic plates. The difference between the plates is the weight and the protection level. In most situations a level III is more than sufficient to protect along with the level IIIa vest. However in hostile situations more protection is required.
