These plates are placed into pockets supplied in tactical covert and overt vests located one to the front and one on the back of the outer carrier. They are additional addons and will achieve the NIJ level IV rated protection when used in conjunction with NIJ Level IIIA SAPs (Soft Armour Panels) suplied with tactical carriers.

VestGuard offers 4 types of ballistic plates. The difference between the plates is the weight and the protection level. In most situations a level III is more than sufficient to protect along with the level IIIa vest. However in hostile situations more protection is required. This is the heaviest plate of all 4 ranges because of the materials it is made from but it will give the ultimate in protection at a lower cost.
