Given the classification MAX9, the VestGuard Female ceramic dual purpose Hard Armour Plate is a sister of the MAX7 Hard Armour Plate which meets the highest level of protection available on the market.

The MAX9 weighs 2.1 kilos and has been manufactured to fit the female form more comfortably and tested to offer the protection of both NIJ level III (3) and level IV (4) test when used with VestGuard advanced soft armour solutions.

Manufactured by VestGuard in the UK, tested and certified to the NIJ level III (3) and level IV (4) standards by independent test laboratories. Tested and officially certified to the NIJ level IV (4) standards by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ).

Each plate is 250mm x 250mm x 14mm with shooter cut corners and is recommended that each female vest be equipped with one female plate for the front and one standard MAX7 for the rear, that fit inside pockets on the outer carrier of VestGuard overt body armour.

VestGuard would recommend this plate for travelling to high threat locations such as Libya, Iraq, Nigeria and Afghanistan.
